Christine is a certified makeup instructor for Ultimate Face Cosmetics, a vendor partner of Paul Mitchell.An award-winning hairdresser with over 40 years' experience, Bliss Salon Group Owner Nick now spends his time working on the business behind the scenes. Christine has helped dozens of students earn their barbering or cosmetology licenses through her mentorship.Д¬hristine has many ties to Paul Mitchell including being an alumnus of Paul Mitchell The School, National Educator and Global Master Stylist for Paul Mitchell Products and a member of the Equity Opportunity Council for John Paul Mitchell Systems. More than 10,000 business owners have graduated from the program across all 50 states.ДЄs an advisory board member for the City of Providence Public School Department, Christine serves as a resource for local educators. The program provides business owners with access to education capital and support services that help small businesses grow and create jobs. Christine is also a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses alumnus. Isaac Rice was one of the first black business owners in Newport, Rhode Island.Д¬hristine is a member of The Rhode Island Small Business Coalition which represents thousands of small businesses in Rhode Island. In 2018, Christine was awarded as Entrepreneur of the Year and presented with the Isaac Rice Award. President Joe Biden has proposed a national, comprehensive parental, medical, and family leave program as one component of his American Families Plan. The Paid Leave All campaign is fighting for paid family and medical leave for all working people. In support of The Paid Leave All campaign, Christine spoke at a Rhode Island Statehouse event with United States Congressman David Cicilline. Christine has also participated in a televised discussion with Lieutenant Governor Sabina Matos and Newport Rhode Island Senator Dawn Euer.Д¬hristine has received notable award nominations from Rhode Island Mayor Jorge Elorza and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo. Recently, the White House invited Christine to be a part of a televised roundtable business discussion event with Vice President Kamala Harris and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo touching upon the subject of women owned businesses faring during the Pandemic and telling her story.
